Formula 1 embarks on a new chapter in 2026 with the arrival of all-new regulations likely to rip up the formbook.

The sport prides itself on being at the forefront of innovation – and this year’s shake up to the rules is one of the most significant revamps for more than a decade. You can find out more about the ins and outs of the new regulations here.

While that undoubtedly poses a challenge for every team on the grid, it also means the Formula 1 drivers have to get to grips with driving new – and different – machinery.

Former Renault driver Jolyon Palmer is joined by current Cadillac driver Valtteri Bottas and former F1 star Juan Pablo Montoya to explain how drivers adapt and get up to speed when a new set of regulations come into play.
