2026 GWM Haval H6L: Long-wheelbase SUV breaks cover

Date:

The 2026 GWM Haval H6L has been revealed in China, where the new model offers greater interior space than the H6 mid-size SUV currently on sale locally.

Just 10mm shorter than the Kia Sorento large SUV, the Haval H6L measures 4800mm long, 1895mm wide, and 1730mm tall, on a 2810mm wheelbase – that’s significantly longer and wider than the standard H6, which is 4703mm long, 1886mm wide, 1730mm high, on a 2738mm wheelbase.

But despite the extra cabin space, the H6L remains a five-seater – with the focus instead on increasing the comfort of occupants, thanks to upgraded electric front seats with heating, ventilation, and massaging.

Meanwhile, those in the rear can recline up to 32 degrees – or the rear seats can fold flat to expand boot space.

Based on the Chinese-market Haval Xiaolong Max, the Haval H6L adopts a more conservative design with a full-width glass section replacing the traditional grille area, complete with LED daytime-running lights and an illuminated Haval logo.

Inside, buyers can option either Autum Brown Beige, Exploration Black, or Canyon Brown, within a cabin that features double-laminated door glass and a 10-speaker sounds system.

Exact details of the powertrains have yet to be announced, but it’s believed the SUV will be offered with a 1.5-litre or 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine.
