The KGM Musso 4×4 ute has been revealed in South Korea ahead of production early next year and Australian arrivals planned for the middle of 2026.
The new-generation Musso, codenamed ‘Q300’, brings a more modern, squared-off look in line with the Musso EV and the Torres SUV, both of which launched here in 2025.
The new Musso, however, uses a different platform to its showroom siblings, in the form of an upgraded version of the existing Musso’s ladder-frame chassis and coil-spring rear suspension.
The class-leading Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux also use a ladder-frame chassis – with both using platforms dating back to last decade – but feature leaf-spring rear suspension, where the Musso will continue with a coil-spring setup.

The rear suspension was shown in a video revealing the design of the Musso, with its exterior the same as two partially camouflaged examples spied during testing only last week.
Those images confirmed different front-end treatments to distinguish model grades across the lineup, which is clearly visible on the South Korea website.
Australian features, equipment and pricing are yet to be announced; however, the South Korea announcement included short-wheelbase (SWB) and long-wheelbase (LWB) bodies, named Musso and Musso Grand Style respectively.
Dimensions aren’t expected to differ significantly from the current model, while the 3500kg braked towing rating is expected to continue, given it is the class benchmark.
The unveiled Musso also has the same bluff front-end with Musso lettering across the bonnet, and a full-width horizontal light band across the front bonnet, segmented to look like teeth.
The same Ford Ranger-esque front quarter panel is clearly visible, as are the 20-inch alloys seen on the higher-spec version spotted last week.
The rear sees KGM stamped into the tailgate, an integrated rear bumper step, and again, different tail-light treatments for different model grades.
The inside was briefly seen in the clip on the South Korean website, showing an electronic park brake, rotary drive-mode selector and textured dials for air-conditioning.
As well as leather-look upholstery, it also shows buttons for heated and ventilated front seats, a 360-degree surround-view camera and a short, physical gear selector.
KGM did not announce powertrains for the new Musso, which is expected to carry over the 133kW/400Nm 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel and six-speed automatic currently offered in Australia.
Like the HiLux and Ranger, which have both seen price rises for 2026, the Musso is expected to cost more when it hits showrooms.
The current Musso starts from $42,500 drive-away for the ELX, with the Ultimate XLV auto the most expensive diesel model at $53,000 drive-away.
The Musso EV, which is built on a different, monocoque platform to the diesel-powered models, starts at $60,000 drive-away.
