The Polo can be seen racing down the same footpath again, before later mounting a kerb, and speeding off down Rouse Street.

The Age reports a man was struck by the Polo, but according to police he left the scene with a woman before officers could talk with him.

Police confirmed to The Age that the vehicle was stolen, and its driver is on the run. Officers have also yet to speak with the two pedestrians involved in the incident.

“Police believe at this early stage the incident was targeted, and the people involved may have been known to one another,” a spokesperson told the outlet.

The Polo was reportedly found abandoned on Tom Hills Drive shortly after, mere blocks away from the incident.
